This morning we saw a new feature in Facebook that raised our eyebrows a bit.  You can now attach a photo to a comment in Facebook.

But not all comments…..

From what we can tell – a comment on a brand page can not include a photo.  Comments on individual’s profiles can include a photo.  From a reputation management perspective, I can see this as a good limitation.  Do you really want disgruntled customers posting photos of hair in their food or mold in their hotel bathroom?

As you can see, all you need to do is click the camera icon in the comments box.  We looked at 10 brand pages and did not see the function there – here’s an example from our own page:

no photo comments

Thoughts?  I can think of a few times when I wanted to post a photo as a comment – but I’m pretty sure it was on a brand page – so does this enhance Facebook, or make it even more cluttered and junkier?
